Administration Support Officer – In Home Care
Location: Tweed Heads, NSW
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (3–4 days per week)
Hours: 9.00am to 3.00pm
Classification: SCHADS Award – Social and Community Services Employee Level 2.2 ($37.36/hr) or Level 2.3 ($38.50/hr), depending on qualifications and experience.
Northern Rivers Children's Services (NRCS) has been supporting children, families and communities since 1980. We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented and customer-focused Administration Support Officer to join our In Home Care team based in Tweed Heads. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to high-quality services that support vulnerable children and families.
About the Role
Reporting to the In Home Care Manager and working closely with Coordinators, Educators and Families, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our In Home Care program.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality administrative support to the In Home Care team.
- Managing Child Care Subsidy (CCS) enrolments and administration.
- Maintaining accurate records within the Harmony Childcare Management System.
- Processing weekly educator attendance and payroll.
- Assisting with superannuation administration and financial reporting.
- Supporting family accounts, fee administration and banking processes.
- Preparing reports, correspondence and organisational documentation.
- Assisting with educator recruitment, onboarding and compliance.
- Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Delivering excellent customer service to families, educators and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
About You
You are highly organised, adaptable and thrive on accuracy. You have excellent communication skills and enjoy building positive relationships while managing multiple priorities.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years' administration experience.
- Payroll administration experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current driver's licence.
Desirable
- Experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Experience with Harmony Childcare Management System.
- Knowledge of Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
- Experience with ComplyCare.
- Knowledge of In Home Care program.
- Understanding of Family Assistance Law and the National Quality Framework.
- Geckko Training and PRODA.
