Casual Social Media Assistant – Mandarin & English
Elite Real Estate is looking for a creative, reliable and social-media savvy Casual Social Media Assistant to join our Melbourne CBD team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, understands both Chinese and Western social media platforms, and can produce content to a professional standard suitable for an established real estate company.
Working Hours
- Every Saturday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Approximately 4.5 paid hours per week
- Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- This is an in-office position based in Melbourne CBD
Key Responsibilities
- Create and publish a minimum of 2 Little Red Book (Xiaohongshu) posts per week
- Create and publish a minimum of 2 WeChat posts per week
- Create approximately 2 Instagram/Facebook posts per week
- Create and edit YouTube Shorts and other short-form video content
- Film and edit property, lifestyle, team and company content
- Design professional social media graphics and promotional materials using Canva
- Edit short-form videos using CapCut
- Assist with content across additional social media platforms as required
- Develop creative content ideas to improve engagement, reach and brand awareness
- Ensure all published content is consistent with Elite Real Estate’s professional brand image and standards
Requirements
- Must be fluent in Mandarin and English
- Confident using Little Red Book (Xiaohongshu), WeChat, Instagram and Facebook
- Experience using CapCut for video editing
- Experience using Canva for graphic design and social media content
- Good understanding of current social media trends and short-form video content
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce polished, professional content
- Creative, organised and able to work independently
- Reliable and available to work in our Melbourne CBD office every Saturday
- Applicants must hold a valid Australian visa with current work rights or otherwise have valid Australian working rights
- Photography, videography, content creation or previous social media experience is highly regarded
- Experience creating content for real estate, property or a professional services business would be an advantage
- Must be reliable, punctual and committed to the role
