We are seeking a suitably qualified full-time academic at the level of Senior Lecturer with expertise in teaching and research in nursing. You will make a significant contribution to leading and delivering high-quality teaching and innovative learning practices in research knowledge and skills, and evidence translation in pre-registration and postgraduate academic (nursing) programs, and to research in your own health-related field.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- build and maintain a reputation for academic excellence through independent and innovative contributions to research and education, expanding knowledge and practice in nursing
- design, coordinate and deliver quality educational units of study and experiences that support student learning and meet accredited curriculum requirements, and contribute to the innovative design, development, implementation and evaluation of curricula in the areas of health research and evidence translation in healthcare
- establish collaborations and partnerships to enhance the research profile and reputation of the university
- provide leadership that has a significant impact on teaching, innovation, curriculum development, research training and supervision within the school/faculty
- understand and contribute to furthering the university and faculty/school strategic agenda
- provide mentorship and academic support to students, and contribute to the coordination of teaching activities within the discipline
- participate in academic administration, school meetings, and initiatives aligned with the faculty and University's strategic priorities
contribute to a collegial and inclusive environment that values diversity, collaboration, and excellence in research and teaching

About you
- PhD in Nursing, Health, Higher Education or a related field
- hold current registered nurse registration with AHPRA without any conditions/restrictions placed on registration
- significant experience in teaching and learning within an established program and in a variety of settings
- significant experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating effective teaching and learning initiatives across a variety of educational settings and formats
- significant research profile with evidence of conducting original research and engaging in scholarly activity within a relevant discipline or health-related field relevant to nursing
- demonstrated ability in curriculum development and delivery of high-quality learning experiences within an established academic program
- strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences, including students, colleagues, external partners and interested parties
- established network of academic, industry and professional partners and ability to build and maintain academic, industry, and professional networks to support research, teaching, and collaboration
- reputation at a national level as influential in expanding knowledge, pedagogical or curriculum innovation and research
experience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities
