The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Advisor - Work Experience and Traineeships (Identified - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Support the recruitment of students and provide ongoing culturally responsive support across the programs cycle
Provide secretarial services including organising meetings, workshops, agendas, minutes and tracking of actions as required
Identify, monitor, and attend to urgent enquiries and issues on behalf of the Work Experience and Traineeship Advisor
Successfully engage/mentor/coach adolescents, leading to positive outcomes
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Temporary full time (up to twelve months, with the possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $93 556 - $103 074 per annum

The Organisational Capability (OC) Unit acts as a trusted business partner. The team leads the development of key strategies for Gold Coast Health including the Workforce Strategy, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, and Core Capability Framework. OC develop Gold Coast Health wide workforce initiatives that build a culture of success and provide tools, training and leadership development for the workforce.
OC plays a key role in helping our organisation keep up with a fast-changing environment as the demand for world class talent increases. Developing tools and resources that build and drive a high-performance culture are essential as competition heats up for talent.
