Maintenance Fitter
Rocbolt Resins Australia manufactures resin products for the mining and tunnelling industries. We are looking for another Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Smeaton Grange.
This is a permanent position working Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, with overtime available when required.
What you’ll be doing
- Attending to plant and equipment breakdowns
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
- Completing regular equipment inspections
- Fault-finding and solving mechanical problems
- Maintaining pumps, filters, conveyors, pneumatic systems and hydraulic equipment
- Assisting with equipment improvements and maintenance projects
- Working with the Maintenance Manager, supervisors and production team
- Keeping work areas and equipment safe and well maintained
What we’re looking for
- At least one year of relevant mechanical or maintenance experience
- Practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A reliable and safety-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and pride in your work
- Willingness to learn and help wherever needed
A trade qualification is welcome but not required. We will also consider applicants with transferable experience from automotive, heavy vehicle, mining, food production or other manufacturing environments.
Experience with welding, fabrication, electrical disconnect/reconnect, forklifts, EWPs, confined spaces, working at heights, milling machines or lathes would be useful.
