The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, system-focused position that balances rigorous process management with exciting, cross-departmental project work. Spending your time in the office and on the manufacturing floor, you will be the driving force behind our compliance systems, continuous improvement, and a massive upcoming transition to a fully digital, paperless archiving system.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and improve the MQF Safety and Quality Management System, focusing on HACCP management, pre-requisite programs, document control, and regulatory compliance.
Proactively identify process-driven food safety risks before they happen. Manage the site's Hold & Release program, maintain non-conformance reporting (NCRs), and successfully close out actions.
Conduct monthly GMP walks to identify areas for improvement. Write and develop robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coach/educate operators and team leaders on the "why" behind compliance.
Lead a major, cross-departmental initiative to reduce printed paperwork, consolidating systems and successfully moving documentation into a streamlined digital framework.
Analyse quality data to drive continuous improvement, focusing on the reduction of consumer complaints, manufacturing losses, and out-of-specification product variations.
What We Are Looking For
Proven experience within a Food Manufacturing QA or Food Safety environment.
Deep understanding of HACCP guidelines and practical GMP knowledge centred around industry best practices.
A tertiary qualification (degree) in Food Science or Food Safety is highly regarded and will make your application stand out.
Strong proficiency in the MS Office Suite—specifically utilizing Excel Pivot Tables for data analysis, PowerPoint for presentations, and Word for drafting clear training procedures.
Exceptional communication skills with the natural ability to connect with shop-floor operators and senior leaders alike, driving a collaborative "culture-add" and a mindset of continuous improvement.
A working knowledge or understanding of 5S / Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
