Join us in a pivotal role where you will lead, establish and shape the Information & Privacy function within Legal & Compliance. You will have the opportunity to influence the structure of the team, drive key initiatives, and lead the implementation of the Privacy Uplift Roadmap, leaving a lasting impact on the organisation's privacy and compliance framework.
About the role
Reporting to the General Counsel - Executive Director, Legal and Compliance, you will lead the organisation's privacy, information access, records governance and data breach management functions, ensuring compliance with relevant NSW legislation and best practice standards.
You will provide expert advice on privacy, GIPA and information governance matters, oversee data breach and information access processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support effective risk management, transparency and organisational integrity.
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated experience leading privacy, information governance, GIPA and records management programs within a complex and highly regulated environment.
Extensive knowledge of NSW privacy, information access and records management legislation, governance frameworks and public sector accountability requirements.
Proven expertise in data privacy, data breach management, information access processes and records governance practices.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, advise and build organisational capability at all levels.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide sound, evidence-based advice and manage sensitive, high-risk matters with confidence and integrity.

Essential Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in a legal, risk, privacy, information governance or a related discipline or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
