The Role
Albany SHS is seeking an authentic, relational and student-centred leader to join our Student Services team as Program Coordinator – Student Services (PCSS). This role is central to our ongoing commitment to ensuring every student feels known, valued, safe and connected to their learning, their peers and our school community.
Working collaboratively with the Principal, Associate Principals, Student Services team and wider school community, the successful applicant will provide educational leadership that strengthens student wellbeing, engagement, learning, belonging and participation. The role plays a key part in leading and embedding our strategic priority of Belonging and Connectedness, through inclusive practices, positive relationships and proactive systems of support that create the conditions for every student to experience success.

The successful applicant will ideally display the capacity to:
- lead strategic and practical responses to student wellbeing, engagement, behaviour and participation
- coordinate effective student support processes and case management practices
- strengthen whole-school approaches to positive behaviour, restorative practices and student connectedness
- work collaboratively with staff to build consistent and supportive classroom and school environments
- use evidence and data to inform decision making and targeted intervention
- support and develop staff capability through collaboration, coaching and shared problem solving
- contribute positively to a culture that values optimism, growth, accountability and collective efficacy.
The role requires a highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, who can navigate complex situations with empathy, professionalism and clarity. The successful applicant should understand the importance of culturally responsive practice and value authentic partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families and community.
