About Us:
Innisfail Hospital services include emergency department, general medical and surgical, low risk maternity (3 beds), chemotherapy (4 chairs), and renal dialysis (8 chairs). Innisfail Hospital has 49 inpatient beds and 7 emergency department treatment spaces. Beds include three high dependency unit beds and ten same day beds/bed alternatives.
The hospital serves a population of over 8000 people and is 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns. The Innisfail region is renowned for spectacular waterfalls, fishing, Mission Beach, the Family Islands, and World Heritage rainforest.
About you:
In your new role you will:
Complete all work assignments including delivery of Planned Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance activities. These work assignments also include minor new works approved by the facility, equipment replacements and new installations as required. Works are to be completed based on priorities and schedules issued by Trade Coordinator or Maintenance Manager.
Ensure all Planned Maintenance work orders have required service reports attached as evidence of completion. Discuss defects identified with Trade Coordinator and assist in compilation of corrective works required to ensure equipment/items inspected remain in a serviceable condition. This includes completion of all paper based and electronic records.
Maintain personal licences and any assigned annual training requirements to ensure that they are always current.
Work with apprentices, trade assistants, external trade contractors and other staff ensuring specifications and quality standards are met.
