The Role
As a central link across the organisation, the Product Manager works closely with the Head of Product to drive the performance and evolution of the Fund’s products—particularly NGS Accumulation and Insurance. You’ll translate business needs into actionable requirements, collaborate with subject matter experts, and deliver initiatives that balance strong governance with member-first outcomes.
This is a part-time, 4 days a week opportunity.
What you’ll do
- Act as product custodian, managing the NGS Accumulation and Insurance offerings across internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with service delivery, legal, communications and external providers to ensure effective product management.
- Provide technical input into marketing, disclosure documentation and member communications.
- Contribute to employer reporting and tender submissions.
- Monitor product performance and suitability, driving continuous improvement in reporting and insights.
- Use AI and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency across product processes and reporting.
- Support the development and embedding of new products, systems and processes in line with regulatory requirements.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to maintain a current and robust competitor view.
- Prepare product performance insights and reporting for Executive, Committees and Board, including outcomes assessment modelling.
- Support end-to-end product development, including roadmap management, business case development, and implementation of approved initiatives.
About you
A commercially minded Product Manager with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience within superannuation and insurance, ideally with exposure to group insurance product management or development.
- Strong analytical capability with a track record of solving complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting and reporting to stakeholders.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex environments.
- Well-developed organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Solid understanding of the superannuation industry, including regulatory and legislative frameworks.
- RG146 compliant.
Nice to have but not essential:
- Exposure to product management/development in all aspects of product in the superannuation environment (investments, super, pension and insurance) to add value to existing business processes.
- Experience in the management and analysis of large data sets, using appropriate technology platforms.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve or automate processes.
