Role Overview
This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the financial, administrative and operational functions of the business.
You will work closely with senior leadership to keep the business running efficiently, ensure projects are properly supported and keep systems organised and up to date.
The role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership and can confidently manage several responsibilities at once.
We are seeking someone who can hit the ground running and contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Payroll administration
- Supplier account management
- Bank reconciliations
- Monitoring cashflow and creditor payments
- Supporting monthly reporting processes
- Liaising with external accountants and advisors
Administration
- Employee onboarding and administration
- Vehicle and fleet management
- Uniform and PPE management
- Equipment and asset registers
- Office administration
- Maintaining company records and systems
- Supporting compliance and documentation requirements
Tender & Project Support
- Preparing tender and proposal documentation for residential and remedial works
- Issuing supplier and subcontractor requests
- Following up pricing and documentation
- Project management software administration
- Assisting with procurement and purchasing
- Supporting project staff with administration and coordination
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within the residential construction industry
- Previous experience in accounts, administration, office management, project administration or business support
- Minimum 5+ years of accounts and finance experience
- Experience processing payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High level of initiative and accountability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of responsibilities
Highly Regarded
- Experience with Xero
- Experience with Wunderbuild or similar project management software
- Experience supporting project staff and tender processes
- Experience within a residential builder, remedial builder, design and construct company or architectural construction business
