About the role
MSS Security is seeking a Part-Time Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Ballina Airport. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Conduct security screening of passengers, staff, and visitors

Operate screening equipment and security technology, including X-ray machines, metal detectors, and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems.

Perform passenger, staff, visitor, and baggage screening to identify prohibited items, dangerous goods, and security threats.

Monitor and patrol airport facilities, reporting and responding to security incidents, breaches, and potential risks.
Requirements:

Full Australian working rights.

Strong communication and customer service skills .

Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).

24/7 availability required.
