ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a commercially sharp and outcomes-driven Head of Sales - Motor Vehicles to join our Motor Vehicles leadership team. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll own and drive the Motor Vehicles growth agenda end-to-end—winning new business, growing existing customers and shaping market share nationally. It’s a genuine opportunity to influence outcomes at scale and play a key role in shaping the future growth of Pickles’ Motor Vehicles business.
Reporting to the General Manager – Motor Vehicles, this role is accountable for driving sustainable growth across the division through new business acquisition, customer growth and disciplined sales execution. You will lead a national sales team focused on winning and growing local vendor relationships—ensuring a seamless end-to-end customer experience from acquisition through to long-term value realisation.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Sales Executives
- Own and deliver the national Motor Vehicles growth strategy
- Win new national fleet, OEM, finance, rental and corporate vendor relationships
- Grow existing customer accounts through increased share of wallet and penetration
- Drive disciplined sales execution across pipeline, prospecting and account planning
- Build a strong, future-focused pipeline of new and existing opportunities
- Personally engage strategic prospects and support high-value negotiations
- Partner with Customer Accounts, Operations and Marketing to deliver integrated growth outcomes
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring proven sales leadership capability and a strong track record of delivering commercial growth outcomes in a high-volume environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- Senior B2B sales leadership experience in a volume-driven environment
- Demonstrated success winning new customers and growing existing portfolios
- Strong capability in leading, coaching and building high-performing sales teams
- Experience balancing new business (“hunter”) and account growth (“farmer”) models
- Exposure to automotive, fleet, finance or asset-intensive industries
- Strong commercial acumen with executive-level negotiation and influencing skills
