We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Property Management team in Brisbane, working with a major national institutional client.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the facilities management of three prime commercial towers in the CBD – known as the “Three Sisters.” This is a high-profile portfolio where your technical expertise and leadership will directly influence asset performance and client outcomes.
Reporting to the Portfolio Director, you’ll be supported by a high-performing team, including a Facilities Manager reporting into you.
Here’s a snapshot of your day;
Provide technical leadership and governance across all engineering services
Oversee building systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, lifts, BMS, and security/access control
Develop and deliver strategic initiatives including CAPEX plans, sustainability roadmaps, energy efficiency programs, and lifecycle management strategies
Monitor operational expenditure and drive cost efficiencies across the assets
Review and manage maintenance contracts, including preparing specifications and leading tender processes
Ensure compliance with risk management, regulatory requirements, and health & safety standards
Identify and implement improvements to optimise building performance and sustainability outcomes
Maintain robust asset lifecycle and long-term maintenance planning
What you’ll need to be successful;
5+ years’ experience in engineering or facilities management, ideally managing premium-grade commercial assets
Strong technical expertise in either Mechanical or Electrical building services
Solid understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, contractor management, and compliance
Experience in project management and delivering capital works programs
Proven ability to build strong relationships and confidently manage stakeholder and client expectations
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
