About the role
Our iconic restaurant, The Vintage Secret Garden, is looking for an exceptional Sous Chef or CDP to join our talented team in Galston, NSW. This is a full-time role with the sponsorship opportunity, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates. As Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our discerning guests.

What you'll be doing
- Manage and oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
- Collaborate with the management team and Head Chef to develop and execute innovative seasonal menus that showcase the best of local, seasonal produce
- Maintain strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Mentor and train the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies to ensure efficient operations
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and a exceptional dining experience for our guests
What we're looking for
- Significant experience as a Chef in a high-quality restaurant or similar hospitality establishment
- Proven ability to lead and manage a kitchen team, with strong communication and people management skills
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations
- Passion for creating innovative, seasonally-driven menus that showcase the best oflocal produce
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
