Female Disability Support Worker – Personal Care & Hoist Experience

About the Role
We are seeking a bubbly, friendly, and compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality support to a participant in a respectful and professional environment.
The ideal candidate will be confident providing personal care, comfortable with hoist transfers, and able to build a positive rapport while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care, including showering, bathing, and toileting
- Supporting with catheter-related care as required
- Assisting with safe transfers using a hoist
- Supporting the participant with daily routines and personal needs
- Building a positive and respectful relationship with the participant
- Engaging in light-hearted conversation and being comfortable joking around appropriately
- Maintaining strong professional boundaries at all times
- Following the participant's care plan and organisational policies
- Promoting the participant's dignity, choice, independence, and wellbeing
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Female
- Bubbly, warm, outgoing, and approachable
- Experienced and confident with personal care
- Experienced using a hoist
- Comfortable supporting with showering, bathing, toileting, and catheter-related needs
- Able to maintain professional boundaries while developing a friendly rapport
- Reliable, patient, respectful, and compassionate
- Comfortable working in a relaxed environment where appropriate humour and personality are welcomed
- Has clear and effective communication skills
A mild accent is absolutely fine — what matters most is your ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and confidently with the participant.
