Aboriginal Healing Practitioner
Full-time | 38 hours per week

About the Role
Dunguludja Yakapna is a program that captures and celebrates Rumbalara’s unique approach to delivering holistic, culturally grounded care and support across our diverse range of services.
As an Aboriginal Healing Practitioner, you will develop and deliver holistic healing interventions that support young people, families, women, men, and communities experiencing trauma and/or family violence. Working within a culturally safe framework, you will help strengthen healing, resilience, cultural identity, and community connection.
About You
Qualifications and Registrations:
- Diploma or Certificate in Community Services, Mental Health, or Family Support or equivalent experience.
- A degree focusing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and issues is highly desirable.
Knowledge and skills:
- Experience in providingholistic healing support to Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
- Ability to provide cultural consultation and guidance to ensure culturally safe and appropriate assessment, treatment, and support.
- Experience conducting cultural assessments and developing culturally responsive healing plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively with community members, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.
- Experience providing pre-referral consultations and goal-setting support.
- Ability to engage respectfully with Aboriginal families and communities, particularly those experiencing vulnerability or risk.
- Commitment to promoting cultural belonging, connection, healing, and wellbeing.
