Aircond Design & Construct Pty Ltd is fully established business based in Sydney, NSW that has been providing specialized services for many years. We are focused in delivering exceptional quality products and outstanding customer services to our customers. Due to our rapid expansion over the years, Aircond Design & Construct Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced full-time Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic who will be performing the following duties and/or responsibilities:
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or other specifications
· Measure and lay out reference points for installation
· Assemble and install refrigeration or air-conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools
· Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
· Install, troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and airconditioning systems
· Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices
· Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing
· Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air-conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
· Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost
· Perform regular cleaning of equipment
· Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended and type of work performed
· Other duties and/or responsibilities as a qualified Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic required from time to time
Personal Requirements
· At least a Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration or higher
· Enjoy practical work
· Technical aptitude
· Good hand eye co-ordination
· Good fitness, with an ability to lift heavy pieces of equipment
· Ability to follow instructions
· To be precise in their work
· A strong team focus
· Attention to detail and focus on safety and quality
· Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills
· An understanding that refrigeration and air conditioning system that break also require maintenance
