Role Overview
As a Team Member at Schnitz Knox, you play a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role involves working across different areas of the restaurant including food preparation, cooking, customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Team members are responsible for ensuring Schnitz quality standards, food safety procedures, and operational consistency are maintained during every shift.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Deliver friendly and welcoming service to all guests
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide product knowledge and menu recommendations
- Handle customer enquiries professionally
- Ensure guests have a positive dining experience
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare menu items according to Schnitz recipes and procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment including fryers and grills safely
- Follow correct cooking times and product handling procedures
- Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
- Assist in preparing fresh ingredients during shift preparation
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Ensure correct handling of raw and cooked products
- Maintain clean workstations and kitchen areas
- Complete temperature checks and food safety procedures where required
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy service periods
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Support team members to ensure smooth service operations
- Maintain a positive and respectful team culture
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness in dining, kitchen, and service areas
- Complete daily cleaning and closing duties
- Ensure equipment and utensils are kept clean and organised

Requirements
- No previous experience required (training provided)
- Food handling knowledge is an advantage
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks

Pay: $18.00 – $37.40 per hour
