Reporting to the Health Information Services Manager and working within a supportive team environment, this position will play a pivotal role in undertaking accurate, comprehensive, and timely clinical coding for the Hospital.

Accurately code clinical diagnoses and procedures in line with national coding standards

Ensure coding is completed within required timeframes

Liaise with clinicians and team members to clarify documentation as needed

Support data integrity for funding, reporting, and quality improvement
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong foundation in clinical coding principles and hold a passion for quality and accuracy in line with Ramsay Health Care core values. You will also demonstrate:

Completion of a recognised Diploma of Clinical Coding (HLT50321) or equivalent

Understanding of casemix and Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG)

Demonstrated good understanding of anatomy, physiology, diseases, and pathological processes

Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement activities.
