Opal SA Construction is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to join our growing team in South Australia. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of civil construction projects in a supportive and professional environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare engineering drawings, plans and technical documentation for civil projects.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys and laboratory testing to support civil works.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering instructions.
- Collect project data, perform calculations and assist with engineering analysis.
- Estimate material quantities and prepare cost and quantity reports.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Inspect completed civil works and assist in coordinating maintenance and repair activities.
- Test soils, aggregates and construction materials for quality assurance.
- Gather site and traffic data to support civil engineering projects.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports and technical documentation.
- Assist engineers with project planning, scheduling and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
About You
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction practices and engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Pay: $82,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
