Family violence is complex, urgent and deeply impactful. As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, effective and empowering responses for adult and child victim‑survivors. Your work directly supports rapid crisis intervention, stabilisation after violence, and pathways to long‑term recovery.
As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner in our Brief Intervention team, you will provide targeted, short‑term support to victim‑survivors experiencing or recovering from family violence. You will deliver crisis responses, interim support, outreach in the community and emergency accommodation, and intensive brief interventions for clients with intersecting needs such as housing instability, mental health and AOD concerns.
Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a Fixed-Term Full Time position, contracted until June 2027, based onsite in Windsor, VIC.
Compensation is in accordance with the SCHADS Award – Level 5.
How you will make an impact

Establish safe, respectful and empowering relationships that uphold the National Family Violence Model of Care

Provide crisis responses, brief interventions and ongoing assessment from intake through to exit

Develop and implement collaborative case plans that support stabilisation and safety. Advocate for clients and facilitate access to holistic supports and community connections

Maintain accurate client records, identify risks, and contribute to service improvement

Meet key performance indicators and uphold TSA practice standards

A tertiary qualification in Social Work
-
Demonstrated experience in specialist family violence, crisis response or child wellbeing practice
-
Strong assessment, prioritisation and time‑management skills.

Highly developed communication and collaboration capabilities
-
Advanced computer skills, including data and record management

A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
