About this role
The Finance Officer delivers quality financial and administrative support to employees, service users and other stakeholders, ensuring that the service provided is in keeping with the Disability Service Standards and the policies and procedures of the organisation.
Main Duties & Performance Goals
Process accounts payable, including purchase orders, invoice approvals, statement reviews, and supplier enquiries
Assist with participant financial administration, including income and expenditure tracking and account reconciliations
Prepare pay claims for processing and accurate and efficient data entry
Processing of accounts in a timely manner based on the NDIS guidelines, to ensure our clients maximize their funding in accordance with their goals
Support service delivery teams by ensuring participant budgets and house funds are available and managed accurately
Assist with coordination of property maintenance, and ensure office equipment and facilities remain operational and well maintained
Record keeping and maintaining archiving system
Responding to all account's enquiries, electronic & verbal, in a professional & efficient manner
Positively represent the organisation through professionalism, integrity and behavior align with the organization aim, mission statement, code of conduct, duty statements, policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with Disability Service Standards
Deliver all advice in a personalized & empathetic manner to maximize client satisfaction & retention
Undertake other duties as reasonably directed by the supervisor
About You
You will have strong experience in providing financial and administrative support, including day to day management of the accounts receivable, accounts payable and all aspects of invoicing. A commitment to utilizing organisation's opportunities systems to achieve delivery in a timely & professional manner is critical.
Qualifications & Experience
Cert III in Finance or Equivalent Qualifications and / or a minimum 2 years' experience in finance/ Account Role
Current National Police Clearance
Valid NT Driver licence
Evidence of right to work in Australia
NDIS Worker Screening and NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Current First aid & CPR
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Demonstrated high-accuracy ability/experience in data entry in a NDIS setting
Strong attention to detail, time management, problem solving & organizational skills
Proficiency to use multiple technology platforms (such as Word, Excel, Outlook & XERO) & client management systems
Demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional customer service
Excellent verbal & written communication skills & the ability to maintain relationships at all levels
Strong team player with the confidence to manage responsibilities independently
Desirable
Experience in the provision of services to people with disabilities
Experience in working with Indigenous Australians and people from culturally and linguistically diverse background
Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
