Our Working Site Supervisors play a key leadership role on the ground, ensuring Allied’s service delivery meets client expectations and contract requirements—while leading by example with a hands-on approach.
Position Summary
The Working Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of cleaning staff and the coordination of site operations. This role combines team leadership with active cleaning duties and is central to ensuring the site meets hygiene, safety, and service standards.
As a site-based supervisor, you’ll be the key point of contact for Allied's clients, lead toolbox talks, manage task allocation, oversee quality inspections, and ensure compliance with WHS and site protocols. You’ll also help foster a positive team environment while upholding our company’s professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee general and detailed cleaning duties to maintain site hygiene and presentation.
- Supervise a team of cleaners and allocate daily/weekly tasks based on site schedules and priorities.
- Conduct site inductions, safety briefings, and ongoing staff training.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, building management, and Allied leadership.
- Respond promptly to client feedback, requests, or concerns and escalate as needed.
- Perform regular quality assurance inspections and submit service reports.
- Enforce WHS compliance and safe work practices across all team members.
- Maintain accurate stock records, place orders, and ensure cleaning equipment is operational and stored correctly.
- Report hazards, incidents, and maintenance issues according to Allied’s procedures.
- Accurately sign in and out using Allied’s live time and attendance system to ensure real-time tracking of shift compliance and site presence.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in commercial cleaning and team supervision.
- Strong leadership, task management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and management.
- Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid Australian work rights.
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check (if required by site).
Desirable:
- Previous experience in client-facing or contract service environments.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and WHS compliance processes.
- Understanding of cleaning KPIs and reporting expectations.
- Valid Driver’s License.
