We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Recruitment & Compliance Officer to join our growing team. This multifaceted role is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment, supporting human resource functions, and ensuring organisational compliance with employment legislation, industry regulations, client requirements, and company policies.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a compliant, engaged, and high-performing workforce while supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
· Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job advertising, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and employment offers.
· Recruit security officers, supervisors, control room operators, concierge personnel, corporate staff, and other operational employees.
· Coordinate employee onboarding, induction, and probation processes.
· Verify candidate qualifications, security licences, right-to-work documentation, and other mandatory compliance requirements.
· Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline to meet workforce demands.
Human Resources
· Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle.
· Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
· Assist with performance management, employee relations, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
· Support learning and development initiatives, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
· Ensure HR policies and procedures remain current and compliant with Australian employment legislation.
Compliance Management
· Monitor and maintain compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards, Work Health and Safety legislation, Privacy requirements, and relevant security industry regulations.
· Ensure all employees maintain current licences, qualifications, training, and certifications required for their roles.
· Coordinate licence renewals, mandatory training, and compliance audits.
· Maintain compliance registers and ensure employee files are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
· Assist with client compliance requirements, contract onboarding, and prequalification submissions.
· Support internal and external audits, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Develop, review, and implement company policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
· Prepare compliance reports and workforce metrics for senior management.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
· Three years experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, and Compliance.
· Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, and HR best practices.
· Experience managing compliance within a regulated industry, preferably security, facilities management, labour hire, or a similar service sector.
· Excellent knowledge of document control, audits, and regulatory compliance.
· Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/recruitment management systems.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
· Tertiary in Human Resources, Business, Compliance, or a related discipline.
· Experience recruiting licensed security personnel.
· Knowledge of Victorian security licensing requirements.
· Experience working with ISO management systems, client compliance portals, or accreditation programs.
· Current Victorian Driver Licence.
