Position Overview
Held within Zero Latency VR Adelaide (Adelaide XR Lounge)! We bring a thriving and socialising together alongside with our creative drinks. Customers can either be from post VR Experience or just hanging out with their friends and drink.
Bar Staff are the face of AfterDark Social. Preparing and serving drinks, providing great guest experiences, and keeping the bar running smoothly across our Thursday–Saturday trading nights.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare and serve cocktails, Plasma Drinks (Our signature drinks), and other menu items to the standard set out in the AfterDark Social recipe guide.
● Provide friendly, attentive service to all guests, including recommending menu items and our house favourites.
● Follow Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) practices at all times, including monitoring guest intoxication levels.
● Maintain a clean, organised bar area throughout service. Includes restocking garnishes, glassware, and mixers as needed.
● Operate the POS/EFTPOS system accurately for all transactions.
● Assist with opening and closing duties as outlined in the Opening & Closing Procedures document.
● Report any maintenance issues, stock shortages, or safety concerns to the Shift Lead.
● Support venue hire and private events as required.
Requirements
● Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification, valid in South Australia (SITHFAB021).
● Prior bar or hospitality experience preferred but not essential — training provided.
● Ability to work Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday nights, 7:00PM–12:00AM.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy venue environment.
● Strong communication skills and a positive, guest-first attitude.

Pay: $26.44 – $47.40 per hour
