Position Overview
The BOH Attendant is responsible for prepping, cooking, portioning and serving all food products according to I Love Dumplings standard operating procedures. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and ability to multitask to meet our consistency and presentation standards- an integral part of ensuring a positive customer experience in our stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellence in all areas of kitchen operations especially relation to product quality, taste,consistency and value according to I Love Dumplings Express standards.
- Complete all assigned section tasks while on shift and seeking additional tasks to complete to ensure the kitchen is always presented at a high level according to best practices.
- Ensure all product preparation is completed in accordance with recipe and product specifications.
- Complete all aspects of induction and training as required by store management.
- Seek clarification on training if required and follow instructions at all times.
- Assist the BOH Manager in ensuring all costs are controlled and managed.
- Conduct temperature checks on food, equipment and storage areas.
- Always maintain stock rotation procedures (FIFO), ensuring all stock is labeled accordingly.
- Ensure BOH equipment and stock is maintained to Don Don Dumplings standards at all times.
- Alert management to areas requiring additional attention or products that are out of stock.
- Follow all OH&S policies and regulations as outlines in the OTCs and the I Love Dumplings Express food safety program.
Essential
- Minimum 1-year experience working in kitchen role ideally in a restaurant or QSR environment.
- Works well in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work as a team and take direction.
- Knowledge and competency in WHS and food hygiene kitchen operations
- Able to perform high-quality work and follow all preparation, cooking and cleaning procedures
- with accuracy.
- Food Safety Certification preferred.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
