Job Overview:
The Head of Commercialization leads PepsiCo ANZ Foods' innovation commercialization strategy, overseeing portfolio prioritization, resource planning, and cross-functional execution to drive growth. Reporting to the ANZ Foods CMO, the role manages a team of five and ensures successful delivery of innovation initiatives from concept to market.
Responsibilities:
Commercialization Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

Lead the ANZ commercialization agenda to deliver Innovation and OOTF growth ambitions.

Define and govern the commercialization portfolio, ensuring an appropriate balance of scale, risk, growth potential and resource allocation.

Partner with Marketing, Insights, POTF, R&D, Supply Chain teams to identify, prioritize and accelerate winning innovation opportunities.

Drive Innovation portfolio decisions that maximize business growth, incrementality, revenue contribution and long-term value creation.

Partners with Global Commercialisation Leads across markets to share learnings, identify cross-market opportunities, and help shape the Global Innovation Agenda while championing ANZ priorities and strategic focus areas.

Rapidly identify opportunities to lift and scale successful global innovations across ANZ.
Governance Leadership

Own commercialization governance across ANZ, ensuring clear decision-making frameworks, priorities and accountability.

Chair and lead key innovation review forums, including Stage Gate reviews and PMR.

Provide recommendations to Senior Leadership regarding portfolio choices, investment trade-offs and resource allocation.

Establish clear success criteria and performance measures to evaluate portfolio health and post-launch performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership

Influence and align senior leaders across Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and Insights to deliver commercialization priorities.

Ensure seamless integration of consumer desirability, technical feasibility and commercial viability across all innovation initiatives.

Remove organizational barriers and drive timely decision making to accelerate commercialization outcomes.

Foster a culture of agility, speed and accountability throughout the commercialization ecosystem.
Capability & Organizational Leadership

Lead, coach and develop a high-performing commercialization team.

Build commercialization capability across the organization by implementing best practices, tools, processes and ways of working.

Ensure resources are effectively allocated across priorities, balancing business needs, capability development and succession planning.

Champion continuous improvement and simplification of commercialization processes to improve speed to market and organizational effectiveness.
Portfolio Performance & Growth Delivery

Accountable in partnership with the POTF lead for delivery of the ANZ innovation growth agenda and commercialization performance targets.

Drive improvements in innovation effectiveness, including balancing reframe/refresh mix, stickability, incrementality and revenue contribution.

Monitor portfolio performance and ensure learnings are captured and embedded into future commercialization strategies.

Represent the commercialization agenda with ANZ leadership and global stakeholders, providing regular performance updates, strategic insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Commercialization, Marketing, Innovation, Category or similar experience in leading complex projects or as a PMO at Sector and/or Country level with proven project leadership experience.

Deep operating knowledge of how to commercialize large scale innovation, through Stage Gate management.

Great team management skills proven via experience in managing teams, preferably across different markets

Proven results within a fast-paced, cross-functional, matrix environment, delivering projects in the field (through development & scale-up to product on-shelf).

Ability to engage with and effectively influence senior stakeholders with the organization and across multiple functions, including challenging and comfortably managing conflict.

Strong knowledge of PEP Foods business and the way it operates (make, move & sell)

Excellent coordination and planning skills with robust problem solving and action-oriented mindset

Very high levels of business acumen: commercially savvy & financially astute with outstanding analytical & problem-solving skills

Strong working knowledge of human centricity and consumer insight processes and how these relate to delivery strong innovation successes.
