As Western Australia accelerates renewable energy integration, grid modernisation and mining electrification, we are expanding our commercial presence in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish Rongke Power's market presence and work on some of Australia's most significant energy storage projects.
The Opportunity
Based in Perth, you will lead business development activities across Western Australia, identifying new opportunities and building long-term relationships with utilities, EPC contractors, renewable energy developers, mining companies and industrial customers.
You will manage the sales process from opportunity identification through commercial negotiation while working closely with our international engineering and project teams to deliver innovative energy storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across the utility, mining, industrial and renewable energy sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with utilities, EPC contractors, renewable energy developers, mining companies and industrial customers.
- Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline from opportunity identification through contract award.
- Prepare commercial proposals, presentations and tender submissions.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
- Represent Rongke Power at customer meetings, industry events and conferences.
- Monitor market trends and identify new commercial opportunities across Western Australia.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years' experience in Business Development, Sales or Commercial roles within the energy, utilities, mining or infrastructure sectors.
- Established relationships with utilities, mining companies, EPC contractors, renewable energy developers or industrial customers.
- Proven experience developing complex energy or infrastructure opportunities from initial engagement through commercial negotiation and contract award.
- Experience selling capital equipment, energy solutions or utility-scale infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and build long-term strategic customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both commercial and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel within Western Australia and interstate as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or Long-Duration Energy Storage (LDES) is highly regarded but not essential. Candidates from the broader energy, power, mining and infrastructure sectors are encouraged to apply.
