About the Opportunity:
Your overall objective in this key role will be to continually identify ways to improve the performance of our assets to ensure they meet production requirements at the lowest cost of ownership and in a safe and sustainable manner.
You will be responsible for delivering on-site plant maintenance which will include the development and implementation of comprehensive preventative maintenance plans, in fact you will be a profit contributor and an integral member of the leadership team You will ensure timely reaction to unplanned breakdown events and actively lead the maintenance team - ensuring the plant is maintained to an appropriate level with all compliance requirements met.
Further and detailed accountabilities are found in the PD which is available upon request and will include:
Safety - achieving safety targets and ensuring acceptance and implementation of the Holcim SHE Management System and site SHE Schedules, standards and objectives as apply to asset management.
Project Management and Estimating - you will ensure projects are accomplished within the allowed time, expenditure budgets with the desired results achieved.
Leadership - you will Deliver Results and energise People.
Risks - you will ensure that risks are managed and documented.
Costs - you will ensure the assessment of costs for all project activities.
Production - you will assist to drive deliveries to ensure a steady stream of product out of our facility.
Engineering - you will apply sound engineering principles and engage experts with relevant knowledge or experience as required.
Continuous Improvement - you will have a commitment to sustainable and continuous improvement.
Reporting and forecasting - you will ensure appropriate and timely reports and forecasts.
Communications - you will create and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders and resources - always communicating clearly and appropriately.
About you:
- Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications (i.e. Electrician/ Fitter Turner) are a strong preference.
- Credible maintenance management and leadership experience in in the precast manufacturing (ideal) or related sectors e.g. heavy manufacturing, concrete, quarrying, building materials, mining.
- Safety orientated leadership and a working knowledge of safety management systems, relevant legislation and regulations.
- Solid appreciation of Preventive Management and Risk Management strategies and practices related to plant & equipment.
- A commitment to Continuous Improvement.
- Excellent people management & communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined environment to deliver productivity and cost improvements.
- Competence in required SAP functions.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
