Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Pharmacist at our location in Gymea Bay, NSW. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with prescriptions, and providing professional advice to customers. Additional duties include managing stock inventory, supervising pharmacy staff, and providing guidance on proper use of medications. The role also involves maintaining compliance with health regulations and offering preventative health services to the community.
Qualifications
- Expertise in reviewing prescriptions, dispensing medications, and offering professional pharmaceutical advice
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and provide exceptional customer service in a community-focused setting
- Knowledge of pharmacy stock management and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Capability to supervise, train, and collaborate effectively with a team of pharmacy staff
- Attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in medical information and prescriptions
- Relevant qualifications, including a Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent, and valid registration with the Pharmacy Board
- Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A strong applicant will offer:
- Experience with vaccinations and have relevant qualifications (First aid/CPR)
- Experience with Z dispense software or willingness to learn
- DAA: MyPak software
- Registered with current scope of practice (UTI,OCP, Dermatology)
- Comfortable with performing Medscheck with patients
- Familiar with Medadvisor and comfortable navigating other online programs
