This role is responsible for managing the accurate and efficient flow of stock into the business.
You will own the receiving function — ensuring all incoming stock is checked, processed correctly, and aligned with purchase orders and invoices.
You will also coordinate customer orders on arrival, raise claims for damaged or faulty goods, and work closely with accounts payable to resolve discrepancies.
Once receiving is under control, you will step into the store to support the team and customers.
This is a hands-on role with clear responsibility and variety across warehouse and retail.
Receiving & Stock Accuracy:
Ensure all deliveries match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery dockets
Check quantities, pricing, and product details for accuracy
Identify and escalate discrepancies immediately
Unload, unpack, and move stock safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate receiving paperwork and system records
Keep the receiving area organised, clean, and running smoothly
Invoice Processing & AP Coordination
Upload and process supplier invoices accurately
Work with accounts payable to resolve discrepancies
Provide clear and timely information to support invoice accuracy
Customer Order Coordination:
Coordinate customer orders once stock is received
Ensure orders are picked, correct, and ready for collection or delivery
Communicate with the team regarding order arrivals and availability
Claims, Credits & Faulty Stock
Identify damaged, faulty, or incorrect goods at time of receiving
Raise claims with complete documentation (photos, notes, supplier details)
Ensure claims are submitted accurately for follow-up
Store & Team Support:
Step onto the retail floor once core tasks are complete
Assist customers and support trade and counter sales
Help with merchandising, stock replenishment, and presentation
Work across departments as part of one team
