Lead one of Australia’s most critical rail asset portfolios—shaping resilient, whole-of-life strategies that keep Sydney moving safely and reliably.
Lead the asset management function, accountable for the development and delivery of strategies, policies, systems and plans that optimise asset performance, safety and lifecycle outcomes, ensuring the reliability and resilience of Sydney’s rail network for the people of NSW.
In this role, you’ll:
Provide enterprise leadership of asset management strategy, frameworks and governance for Sydney Trains, ensuring alignment with whole-of-government priorities and legislative requirements. You will set the direction for whole-of-life, condition-based asset planning, lifting asset performance, availability and resilience across a complex, high-demand rail network.
You will drive cross-functional integration and execution—designing and continuously improving asset management systems, work program planning, possession access and performance reporting to deliver maintenance and improvement programs safely, on-time and on-budget. As a trusted advisor, you will work across TfNSW, Sydney Metro, NSW TrainLink and internal stakeholders to optimise outcomes, manage risk and enable service excellence.
You will build a high-performing, future-ready function, championing innovation, rigorous risk management and data-led decision-making to solve complex challenges and minimise disruption to customers and communities.
