Our client has an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Sales Estimator to join a well-established and growing residential home builder.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering accurate pricing and outstanding service to both internal stakeholders and clients.
Working as part of a collaborative estimating team, you'll play a key role in preparing quotations, contracts and variations while ensuring projects are accurately costed from concept through to contract.
About the Role
Reporting to the Sales Estimating Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate sales quotations, contracts and variations.
- Reviewing plans and specifications to ensure pricing accuracy.
- Maintaining base model pricing and assisting with ongoing cost reviews.
- Providing technical advice on variations and construction-related queries.
- Preparing cost analyses for a variety of housing products and project types.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and maintain strong relationships.
- Assisting with margin reviews and commission calculations.
- Supporting internal teams with pricing, specifications and technical information.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in residential construction estimating.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A proactive, positive and solutions-focused attitude.
