About Aero Refuellers:
Aero Refuellers, a division of K & S Freighters, is a leader in the Australian aviation fuels reseller market. The business manages 30 airport fuel sites and delivers bulk fuels across the country. A key component of our work is the support of firefighting aircraft deployed during the summer months across Australia.
The Opportunity:
This is a newly created position, offering a competitive salary, great conditions, and the opportunity to make this role yours!
Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will oversee aviation fuels maintenance for our airport sites and fleet of refuelling and delivery tankers. You will manage the aviation maintenance team, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency, with regular travel to our sites throughout Australia.
This is not a desk-only role. You will be managing new builds and all contactor management, leading the teams with their safety focus and meeting compliance requirements.
This role requires a strong commitment to operational excellence.
You will:
Oversee aviation fuels related maintenance including;
- Developing and managing our fleet of mobile tank and pump assets
- Managing airport site maintenance and compliance, acquire all required equipment including tanks, pumps, filters, dispensers, payment terminals, etc.
- Managing the aviation maintenance team, undertake safety walks, safety audits, contractor management, maintain the Chemwatch register
- Project management of all new site builds from design to construction, commissioning, documentation and contractor management to deliver in scope and on budget.

What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for someone with trade experience and proven knowledge of working with Australian standards. Experience in bulk storage of fuel and aviation refuelling is a bonus. You’ll possess trade understanding and have project management experience.
You will have:
- Extensive experience in interpreting and complying to many different standards and working through complex projects of upgrading equipment to meet standards as they evolve.
- Proven leadership and team mentoring capability, particularly in a mixed-trades environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including quoting and contractor management.
- Ability to manage projects within scope, timeframe and budget.
- Strong customer focus coupled with commercial awareness.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
