About the role
We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable individual to join our Property department in the role of permanent full-time Cleaner.
Reporting to the Cleaning Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for those living, studying and working at the College by undertaking cleaning tasks across College properties including student accommodation, offices, kitchens and bathrooms.
This position is for 38 hours per week. The successful candidate would be required to work from Monday to Friday, between 6:00am and 2:30pm.
About you
The successful candidate will meet the following essential selection criteria:
- Demonstrated cleaning experience with knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and methods
- Ability to safely perform manual tasks relevant to the role, including but not limited to bending, standing and walking for extended periods and lifting loads up to 10kg
- Effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work in a flexible manner within a team environment and follow direction
- Ability to support and promote the Christian Vision, Mission and Values of Moore Theological College
It is desirable that you also have:
- Commercial cleaning experience in a residential setting (e.g. aged care, hostel) or offices
- First Aid Certificate
