About the Centre/Service
Ripponlea Kindergarten is a not for profit, committee run, community kindergarten offering mixed age group sessions for up to 60 children. Our children play and learn in a peaceful and natural setting that is part of Ripponlea Primary School. We are an exceeding service in all seven quality areas and have above ratio staffing. On Mondays and Fridays we have an Italian teacher join us and we run a small group bush kinder session at Rippon Lea Estate in the afternoon on Thursdays and have a small group back at the kinder. We are strongly committed to sustainable practices and embedding Indigenous perspectives in our program.

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, qualified Cert III or Diploma Early Childhood Educator to fill a casual role for the remainder of 2026 with opportunity for an ongoing/ part-time role in 2027. We offer excellent working conditions and flexibility to carry out planning at times that suit you, in a friendly and supportive setting. Hourly casual rate of pay is in line with the VECTEA 2020 award (and anticipated VECTEA 2026 award), currently between $40.59 to $45.71 (VECTEA levels).
This casual role may require you to cover lunch/tea breaks between 11.30 and 1.30, or full (or a part of) days between 8am and 4.30pm for a group of 24 x 4YOs, 24 x 3YOs or combination of 12 x 3YO and 12 x 4YOs. On any given day, you will be working with a qualified Teacher(ECT), and one or two Diploma qualified Educators.
It is expected that you are familiar with the VEYLDF, the newly updated EYLF 2.0 and Child Safe Standards and that you will work in accordance with the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010.
