About the Role
Bethel Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to support a female NDIS participant in Hawthorn East, VIC
This role focuses on community participation and social support, assisting the participant in engaging in meaningful activities and improving overall well-being.
Participant Overview
- Female, 17 years old
- Diagnoses include mental health.
- Requires weekly 1:1 support (6 hours) for community access
Key Responsibilities
- Support community participation and social engagement
- Assist with attending appointments and activities
- Provide emotional support in a trauma-informed and recovery-oriented manner
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity
- Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns to the care team
About You
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health and psychosocial disabilities
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and empathetic
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
Important Note
This position is open to all qualified applicants.
However, the participant has expressed a preference for a female support worker, and this request will be considered in line with NDIS guidelines and participant choice.
Pay: $24.81 – $54.91 per hour
