Where you'll be working:
Hunter New England Population Health (HNEPH) is responsible for the delivery of Population Health services to the people of the Hunter and New England regions. Our Population Health Unit is divided into two service teams; Health Protection and Health Promotion.
Population Health has 3 sites Wallsend, Tamworth and Taree. This position is based at Wallsend Health Campus, which has free parking.
About the role:
Project Officers are involved in the development and delivery of evidence-based health promotion programs and services that aim to prevent and reduce harm from chronic disease risks, obesity, blood borne viruses, sexually transmitted infections, and injury risks in the Hunter New England population. This position will work with the early years team to improve health outcomes for children aged 0-5 years.

How you'll be supported:
The successful candidate will be supported by a number of staff including a Program Manager and other Project Officers in the team. Support will be provided in the form of work-based learning activities, including project participation, job shadowing, mentoring and performance-based feedback.
