Cabinet Maker
We are an established company providing high-quality custom cabinetry and stone products tailored to the needs of a wide range of clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and installation of cabinetry and custom joinery. The role involves working from drawings and specifications through to the completion and installation of finished cabinetry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Read and interpret shop drawings, plans and specifications to determine job requirements.
· Select and work with materials including timber, particle board, laminates and other engineered wood products.
· Measure, mark, cut and shape materials and components to manufacture custom cabinetry and joinery.
· Fabricate and assemble cabinetry and custom joinery in accordance with drawings and specifications.
· Install a range of cabinetry and joinery, including kitchens, laundries, vanities, wardrobes and other custom joinery.
· Fit hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves and other associated cabinetry hardware.
· Operate relevant hand tools, power tools and cabinetry machinery safely and efficiently.
· Follow jobs through from fabrication and assembly to installation and completion.
· Ensure finished cabinetry and joinery meet required drawings, specifications and quality standards.
· Assist with stone countertop placement on site where required as part of cabinetry installation.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
· Demonstrated experience in cabinet making, joinery, fabrication and installation.
· Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications.
· Sound knowledge of cabinetry and joinery processes, materials and installation techniques.
· Experience using relevant hand tools, power tools and machinery.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
· Good problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
· Reliable, self-motivated and professional attitude.
· Current driver's licence.
