We are currently partnering with a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to join their team.
This is not a “sit in the lab” quality role. This position will suit someone who enjoys being hands-on within the operation, collaborating across departments, engaging with suppliers and customers, and contributing ideas that improve products, processes, and overall quality performance.
You will be joining a technically advanced manufacturing environment where quality is viewed as a business-wide function, not just a department.
The Opportunity
Working within a broader quality function, you will play a key role in inspection activities, non-conformance management, supplier quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
You will work closely with production, engineering, operations, procurement, suppliers, and customers to drive quality outcomes and resolve technical issues proactively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection of components against technical drawings and specifications
- Use metrology and measuring equipment confidently and accurately
- Manage non-conformances, investigations, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers on quality issues
- Contribute to practical improvements across quality and manufacturing processes
About You
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or precision-based environments
- Strong, practical experience with CMM and GD&T (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Proven background in quality inspection and structured quality systems
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and support or lead quality outcomes
- Ability to manage issues through to completion without reliance on escalation
- Certificate III or IV in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related trade (or equivalent experience)
