The Opportunity:
As a Planner & Scheduler you will play a pivotal role in driving safe, reliable and efficient maintenance performance across our Fixed Plant operations.
In this key position, you’ll be responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of maintenance activities in line with the Gold Fields Work Management Process — the framework that underpins how we deliver safe, productive and disciplined maintenance across all sites. Your work ensures maintenance tasks are clearly defined, properly resourced, and executed to protect asset integrity and maintain production continuity.
Working within established standards, task lists, maintenance strategies and governance frameworks, you’ll help create consistency and excellence in maintenance execution. You’ll develop, maintain and communicate high‑quality weekly maintenance plans and schedules that enable safe, efficient and reliable work delivery.
A core part of the role is ensuring work orders are accurately scoped, planned and scheduled, with materials, labour and equipment aligned to requirements. You’ll also maintain high‑quality SAP master data to support equipment reliability, workforce productivity and informed decision‑making across the operation.

What You’ll Do
Develop quality job plans, build achievable weekly schedules and align labour/materials to support safe, reliable execution.
Apply the Gold Fields Work Management Process, lead planning discussions and escalate issues through governance channels.
Maintain accurate work orders, task lists and equipment history, and action master data updates to support reporting and decision‑making.
Collaborate with onsite stakeholders to identify and implement work management improvements.
Ensure maintenance strategies and scopes are correctly reflected in planned work, support failure analysis and assist with KPI analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
Model Gold Fields’ Values, embed safe systems of work in all planning and promote compliance with safety requirements.
What You’ll Bring
Recognised trade or technical/tertiary qualification, with mining/resources experience and exposure to Fixed Plant maintenance planning.
Strong understanding of maintenance execution, equipment behaviour and site operations, supported by confident use of Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated experience using SAP for maintenance planning and scheduling.
Solid understanding of safety systems and a proven commitment to disciplined, risk‑aware planning and safe work practices.
