What your day could look like
As a Training and Compliance Officer - Mental Health Act, you'll help ensure people accessing mental health services are supported by systems, processes and decisions that uphold their rights and wellbeing. From providing expert guidance to building staff capability, you'll work with a collaborative team to strengthen compliance, consistency and quality outcomes across the service.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Supporting clinicians with practical advice that helps them confidently apply legislative requirements and make informed decisions.
Improving compliance outcomes by monitoring documentation, identifying risks and promoting timely, accurate practices.
Designing and delivering engaging education that builds knowledge, capability and confidence across multidisciplinary teams.
Working with key stakeholders to solve complex challenges, share insights and drive continuous improvement.
Let's Talk About You
You're someone who combines compassion with sound judgement and takes pride in helping others navigate complex requirements with confidence. You communicate clearly, build trusted relationships and stay focused on achieving positive outcomes, even when priorities shift. You'll feel proud knowing your work helps protect consumer rights, supports clinical teams and strengthens high-quality mental health care. You're not just here to maintain compliance, you're here to create positive impact and contribute to a culture of integrity, dignity, innovation and courage.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Strong ability to interpret legislation, policy or complex information and translate it into practical guidance.
Experience delivering education, training or capability-building initiatives for diverse teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and achieve outcomes within critical timeframes.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience supporting mental health services, compliance programs or legislative frameworks, and/or advanced training in governance, education or quality improvement.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting safe, person-centred mental health care and helping others succeed.
