Experienced Pharmacy Assistant / Pharmacy Technician (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient-centred care.
- Recommend and supply appropriate OTC, S2 and S3 medicines within your scope of practice.
- Assist pharmacists in delivering professional pharmacy services.
- Accurately dispense prescriptions using Fred Dispense (for Pharmacy Technicians).
- Promote generic substitution and professional pharmacy services where appropriate.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of:
- NDSS (National Diabetes Services Scheme)
- Pharmacotherapy Services
- Vaccination Services
- Staged Supply
- MedAdvisor
- Community Pharmacy Programs
- Tatts Lotto procedures
- Maintain excellent knowledge of pharmacy and front-of-shop products.
- Assist with stock ordering, receipting, merchandising, inventory control and expiry management using FIFO principles.
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the pharmacy.
- Complete opening and closing procedures as required.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality patient care.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures and professional standards.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a community pharmacy (essential).
- S2/S3 Certificate (essential).
- Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy (highly regarded).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping people.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
- Strong inventory management and merchandising skills.
- Experience with Tatts Lotto operations.
- Good knowledge of pharmacy products and community pharmacy services.
- CPR and First Aid Certificate (preferred).
- A current Australian driver's licence (preferred).
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.

- This position is for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician only.
- This role does not provide a pathway to an Intern Pharmacist position.
