Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking an experienced and inspiring Nursing Unit Manager for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
About the Opportunity
As the Nursing Unit Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the ICU, overseeing patient services, workforce management, and resource allocation. You will play a pivotal role in creating an environment where patients receive outstanding care, staff feel supported and empowered, and continuous improvement is embedded in everyday practice.
This position plays a key role in leading a high-performing Intensive Care Unit, driving clinical excellence, and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes. In this role you will:

Lead and inspire a high-performing multidisciplinary Intensive Care team.

Drive clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.

Oversee workforce planning, operational performance, and resource management.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and the leadership experience to successfully manage a high-performing clinical team.

Extensive post-registration Intensive Care clinical experience with a strong understanding of contemporary critical care practice.

Demonstrated success leading teams, driving change, and fostering a positive, high-performance workplace culture.

A commitment to clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement, and delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

Strong operational, financial, and communication skills, with experience managing resources, developing staff, and building collaborative relationships.
