About us
The Corporate Strategy and Delivery group delivers essential corporate and enabling services and specialist support, allowing the department to operate efficiently and effectively.
The Infrastructure and Property Accommodation (IPA) group manages the department's justice and corporate infrastructure, property, accommodation and fleet services. Centralising Property Services, Strategy Implementation, and Regional Corporate Services, IPA aims to provide consistent, efficient and well-governed support, strengthen alignment between strategy and delivery, reduces duplication, and ensure assets are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
What you will do
As senior project manager, you will lead a team of project professionals to deliver strategic accommodation and corporate service projects.
You will manage complex projects that support the department's priorities and deliver value for the community.
You will:
-
lead major projects that meet agreed timeframes, budgets, scope and quality requirements
-
manage and support skilled project staff through coaching, mentoring and clear direction
-
prepare complex reports, briefings and presentations to support senior decision-making
-
identify and manage key risks, issues and changes to keep projects on track
-
improve project delivery through effective planning, governance, reporting and quality controls.
About you
A relevant project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 certification or an equivalent qualification, is highly desirable. You should have experience leading strategic projects, project teams and complex delivery activities.
You should also have:
-
strong project management experience delivering strategic accommodation or corporate service projects
-
advanced planning skills and the ability to manage risks, issues, budgets and changing priorities
-
high-level communication skills and the ability to influence others to achieve project outcomes
-
collaborative leadership skills with the ability to mentor staff and support positive change.
