Located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, our hotel hosts contemporary guest spaces and versatile conferencing and events facilities. We’re looking for a Part Time Food & Beverage Attendant – Conferencing & Events to join our team and help us deliver great experiences for our meetings, conferences, functions and special events.
What’s the role?
As part of our Food & Beverage team, you’ll play an important role in bringing our conferencing and events experiences to life. From setting up a room for an early morning meeting to delivering seamless service during a corporate function, you’ll help ensure every detail is taken care of.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Setting up and preparing meeting rooms, conference spaces and event areas
- Reviewing and following Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure event requirements, timings, room setups and catering details are delivered accurately
- Providing friendly, attentive and efficient food and beverage service throughout events
- Serving morning teas, lunches, canapés, beverages and other event catering
- Assisting with event bump-in, service and pack-down
- Clearing and resetting rooms between sessions and events
- Working closely with the Events, Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth service and that event requirements are delivered as outlined in the BEO
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and hygiene
- Responding to guest requests and helping create a positive and memorable event experience
- Assisting across other Food & Beverage areas when required
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Warm, friendly and guest-focused, with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Confident providing food and beverage service in a professional events or hotel environment
- Comfortable reading and following BEOs and event instructions
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced events environment
- A strong team player who enjoys working with different departments
- Able to work independently and take initiative when required
- Well presented, professional and attentive to detail
- Flexible with availability, including early mornings, weekdays, evenings and occasional weekends, depending on event requirements
- Previous hotel, restaurant, catering or events experience is preferred, but we’re also happy to hear from enthusiastic hospitality professionals looking to develop their skills

Pay: $27.08 – $33.85 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
