IT Deployment & Asset Recovery Technician

We are seeking reliable and motivated IT Deployment & Asset Recovery Technicians to join our growing team for a major project with immediate commencement, in the Western Sydney region.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, working with technology, and being part of a fast-paced team environment.
The role will initially be offered on a temporary basis due to the size of the project, however ongoing permanent opportunities may be available for high-performing team members.
Monday to Friday $30-$35 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
Your time will be split between customer sites and our warehouse facility, undertaking a variety of IT-related tasks including:
- Installation and deployment of desktop computers, monitors and all-in-one workstations
- Hardware swaps, upgrades and workstation setup
- Basic software, firmware and system configuration tasks
- Asset auditing and inventory management
- Testing and assessing used IT equipment for functionality and operability
- Capturing asset information accurately into inventory management systems
- Collection and transportation of used IT equipment from customer locations
- General warehouse and logistics support as required
What We're Looking For
We're looking for practical, common-sense operators who can assess situations as they arise and make sound decisions without needing constant direction.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong technical aptitude and confidence working with computer hardware
- A solid understanding of Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- The ability to learn new software and processes quickly
- Good attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical capability to lift and move computer equipment safely
- A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Previous IT deployment, desktop support or field technician experience
- Experience with asset management or inventory systems
- Current Driver Licence
- Experience handling, testing or auditing IT equipment
- Understanding of hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting
