About the role
We are seeking a Casual Dental Receptionist / Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Dental Kraft Mitcham.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a newly established, friendly and patient-focused family dental practice, with the potential to transition into a permanent part-time role as the practice grows.
In this dual-purpose role, you will support both the front desk and clinical team, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a professional, welcoming and efficient experience while working closely with our dentists and wider team to deliver a high standard of patient care.
The role involves:
- Greeting patients and managing reception duties, including scheduling appointments, managing cancellations and maintaining accurate patient records
- Providing administrative support by handling patient enquiries, processing payments and managing billing procedures
- Assisting the dentist and dental hygienist during clinical procedures, including preparing treatment areas and sterilising instruments
- Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant clinical and reception environment
- Supporting patient comfort and managing patient flow throughout the practice
- Processing patient communications and managing correspondence
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist with managing the clinic Social media
- Can-do attitude and willingness to learn
The successful applicant will require:
- Relevant experience would be advantageous, but not necessary.
- Willing to enrol or already enrolled in Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent education necessary for the role.
- Be exceptionally professional and have strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proven track record of punctuality, reliability and commitment to the hours and days required.
- Ability to build rapport with patients while showing empathy.
- Flexible with days and hours.

Pay: $28.40 – $34.20 per hour
