We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Newcastle. This permanent, full-time position plays a key role in the design, development, and delivery of robust electrical systems for major energy, industrial, and infrastructure clients.
Working alongside our national engineering network, you will deliver high-quality technical solutions, support multidisciplinary project delivery, and help drive reliable outcomes across the region.
Responsibilities

Design and develop low and medium-voltage electrical systems, equipment layouts, and single-line diagrams.
- Conduct engineering studies, fault level calculations, protection reviews, and cable sizing assessments.
- Collaborate with mechanical, control systems, and civil teams to ensure seamless multi-discipline integration.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including functional specifications, scopes of work, and project reports.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges across design, factory testing, and site commissioning phases.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables adhere strictly to AS/NZS standards, client specifications, and ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Assist in project coordination, client liaison, and site inspections as required.
- Provide technical support and peer review assistance to graduate engineers and drafters.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or recognised equivalent).
- 3+ years of professional engineering design experience within a consultancy, industrial, or heavy infrastructure environment.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerFactory, or similar).
- Solid grasp of Australian Standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to safety and quality.
